Located at the edge of the western Catskills, this historic and easily walkable village is a cultural treat. Beside the six wonderful shops that comprise the Art and Antiques group, you'll find beautifully maintained examples of Federal, Greek Revival and Victorian architecture, a large 19th century stone schoolhouse (The Franklin Institute), and a great local theater company (Franklin Stage Company). 
Getting to Franklin
Franklin's a small village, so once here all the shops can be found within a single block.
Approximate distances from other area towns: 11 miles from Oneonta, 14 miles from Walton, 20 miles from Delhi, 28 miles from Cooperstown, 50 miles from Binghamton, and 90 miles from either Albany or Hudson
